Founded in 1968, Richmond Hill Soccer Club is the largest recreational club in the town of Richmond Hill

and one of the largest soccer clubs in York Region. RHSC is a non-profit organization and provides year
- round development programs for players, coaches, and referees.

**Position Summary**:
The Head Referee will act as a Match Official liaison and assignor for Richmond Hill Soccer Club. They
will manage the Match Official portfolio for the Club.

**Responsibilities**:

- Comply with the RHSC Competitive Policies & Procedures including but not limited to the Code

of Conduct
- Recruit, train and mentor RHSC referees
- Assess Referees for promotions to higher grades
- Assign Mentor Referees to guide and support mentee referees at games
- Represent the Club at the York Region Soccer Referees Association
- Coordinate Referees and Assistant Referees for the indoor and outdoor seasons
- Outdoor competitive youth leagues as required by the YRSA
- Assign referees for all RHSC Adult Leagues
- Investigate any issues raised by Referees and where necessary bring these issues before the

Club Discipline Committee
- Sit on the club Discipline Committee as required
- Complete the YRSA Discipline and Appeals Certification Course
- Identity and assign referees for the Challenge Cup Tournament
- Work onsite during the Challenge Cup Tournament
- Work onsite during the House League end-of-season event
- Assist Club Staff with the hiring of new Referees
- Agree to adhere to all published League rules

**Training & Technical Sessions**
- Attend all Club mandated training sessions and events (e.g. RHSC Challenge Cup)
- Complete the Ontario Soccer Match Official Instructor Program
- Act as a Mentor for House League Referees
- Coordinate other Mentor Referees for House League Referees

**Communication**
- Provide regular written status reports to the Technical Staff
- Promote the RHSC brand, programs, and player development model
- Communicate club information to the team using the RHSC preferred tool (currently Team Snap)

**General Responsibilities**
- Wear attire as required by RHSC
- Be punctual for all team events including meetings, training sessions and games
- Perform any duties assigned by the RHSC Technical Department or designate

**Supervisor**
- You will report to the Club Technical Director or designate.**
**Position Requirements**:
The requirements for this position include:

- Minimum of Grade 5 Referee Certification;
- Experience recruiting and assigning referees within York Region is preferred;
- Strong organizational and time management skills;
- Available to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings;
- Outgoing personality with strong customer service and communications skills;
- Reliability and a professional manner;
- Team player
- Strong computer skills that include knowledge of Ref Centre, PowerUp, Microsoft Excel,

Word, Outlook.

**Remuneration**
- Commensurate with experience.
