**Job Summary**

The Retail Floor Associate plays a key role in creating a welcoming shopping experience for Salisbury customers. This position is responsible for delivering outstanding customer service, supporting sales, maintaining floor standards, and ensuring product knowledge and displays reflect the Salisbury brand. The role combines customer-facing responsibilities, information desk support, and plant stocking to keep the retail environment engaging, organized, and sales-focused.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

**Retail Floor**
- Create a welcoming environment by greeting all customers as they arrive.
- Provide excellent customer service by prioritizing customer needs, answering questions, and assisting with purchases.
- Maximize sales opportunities to help achieve store targets.
- Stay current on product knowledge, promotions, and rewards program details.
- Complete all opening and closing procedures as scheduled.
- Operate the cash register: scan merchandise, process transactions, and handle payments accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe front-end environment, free of debris or clutter.

**Information Desk**
- Answer customer inquiries by phone and in person at the information desk.
- Guide customers to product locations on the retail floor.
- Maintain an organized and presentable information desk area, including plant displays and surrounding shelves.
- Provide product knowledge support, ensuring customers leave with accurate and helpful information.

**Plant Stocking**
- Restock plants and related merchandise on the retail floor.
- Maintain plant displays, ensuring they are visually appealing, clean, and organized.
- Perform plant care tasks such as deadheading and cleaning to maintain product quality.
- Assist with receiving, unpacking, and organizing plant shipments for floor display.

**Qualifications**
- In-depth plant knowledge and ability to provide care guidance to customers.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Basic merchandising knowledge with an eye for detail and display standards.

**Work Environment & Expectations**
- Must be comfortable working on the retail floor with frequent standing, walking, and light lifting.
- Seasonal peaks may require extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Team-oriented, collaborative attitude, with the ability to also work independently.
