**The role**:_ Product Testing Group Lead_**

**Who are you?**

The Product Testing Group Lead (PTGL) has primary responsibility for all physical testing investigation completed within the Product Group. This role will take ownership of all ongoing investigations and lead the definition and development of new investigations deemed necessary for the development of RAM and SAB products. While maintaining safety and test data integrity, the PTGL will define, design, develop, program, procure, build, commission, calibrate, operate and schedule the test resources.

In collaboration with the Core Product Technology Lead, Structured Adsorbent Bed Lead (SABL), the Seal Technology Lead, Computational Technology Lead and the Structures Technology lead, the PTGL will identify core testing resources and requirements for current and future investigations.

Working within the framework of Svante Values and Goals the PTGL will be responsible to deliver all data pertaining to test investigations carried out. This will include maintaining full lifecycle documentation including but not limited to: requirements defined at inception, design documentation, build and / or purchase documentation, commissioning, calibration, operation and data acquired. This data and documentation will be controlled and catalogued for the benefit of the company.

After establishing an investigation requirement, the PTGL will be responsible to develop a resource plan outlining budget, manpower and timing to meet the defined intent. This may require research and sourcing of equipment, design, development and build of specialized equipment, reprograming or repurposing of existing equipment or be a combination of solutions.

The PTGL will, where required, negotiate with the Manufacturing and Engineering group for suitable floor space and timing to execute on new investigations or in an extreme situation research and present options for physical space. Once physical locations are established the PTGL will set up for the investigation ensuring all equipment is safe to use, calibrated and that procedures are in place to obtain the desired results. Data obtained from investigations will be compiled in a suitable format so that the test procedure, equipment used, control software, set points, calibrations and results are documented in a secure, searchable and retrievable manner.

The PTGL takes personal responsibility for the morale of the development team and always ensures that Svante Goals and Values are represented to internal and external customers and suppliers.

**Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities**:

- With input of Core Product Technology and RAM Division staff, identify testing resources needed to expand areas of key technical competency for Svante Laminates, Structured Adsorbent Beds, and Adsorbent Machines to successfully meet current and future requirements - the Technology Competency Plan (TCP).
- Provide an investigation resource that delivers testing results to problems posed by the Core Products Technology team.
- Maintain a log of requests for testing and investigation.
- Identify budget, manpower and schedule for all investigations requested.
- Obtain necessary approvals to carry out requests:

- Time and budget approval from Product leadership
- Design and plan approval from requestor
- Floor space negotiation between manufacturing and engineering
- Regulatory and safety approvals as may be necessary
- Manage resources for the efficient and effective delivery of the test plan.
- Develop methodologies to achieve the requirements of requested investigations.
- Prepare physical drawings and specifications to meet needs of the test plan.
- Develop software to operate / perform the required tests.
- Manage the build schedule and sourcing for test equipment.
- Assemble and operate test equipment.
- Prepare test reports.
- Maintain full lifecycle data for all test equipment / stations.
