Project Manager

**Description**:
Equinox is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager - Below Ground Pipelines. The Project Manager will be responsible for pipeline EPCM projects, from concept to detail and construction support, with a focus on delivery and quality. This role will involve taking a senior technical leadership in establishing design specifications, procurement, and execution of pipeline systems while ensuring that the project stays on schedule, within budget, and adheres to safety and quality standards.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead and manage the execution of pipeline engineering scope for assigned projects, ensuring all objectives are met within budget and schedule. Ensure that the changes are captures, agreed and approved.
- Oversee the creation and review of pipeline route and alignment, engineered crossing drawings, and ensure professional sealing of such documents.
- Coordinate the pipeline routing process and review and approve final pipeline routing analysis reports.
- Develop and review pipeline materials, equipment specifications, and Design Basis Memoranda.
- Manage technical evaluations of materials, equipment, and services bid submissions.
- Review and oversee pipeline hydraulic studies and related pipeline schematics.
- Lead and coordinate the activities of the pipeline engineering team, ensuring effective collaboration with other project disciplines and the drafting team.
- Work closely with and mentor junior engineers and technical staff, supporting their development in the pipeline discipline.
- Ensure compliance with project plans, procedures, quality systems, and safety standards.
- Champion the quality in all aspects of engineering and related documents.
- Assist in the preparation of engineering work scopes, cost estimations, and project risk assessments as needed.
- Enforce industry-standard safety principles and corporate policies within the project environment.
- Maintain close liaison with clients, vendors, and contractors to ensure effective project communication and resolution of issues.

**Key Skills & Abilities**:

- Extensive experience in Project management, including pipeline design, construction, and commissioning, with a focus on below-ground pipelines and associated infrastructure.
- Proven leadership abilities in managing and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams for successful project delivery.
- Strong experience in the preparation of technical specifications for pipeline systems, materials, and equipment.
- In-depth knowledge of pipeline alignment, crossing engineering, and routing analysis.
- Ability to mentor and guide junior engineers and technical staff in pipeline engineering.
- High initiative, organizational skills, and a proactive approach to meeting project goals.
- Strong familiarity with CSA Z662, ASME B31.4, B31.8 codes, and related industry standards and regulations.
- Expertise in managing project scopes, schedules, budgets and quality in compliance with corporate policies and industry safety standards.

**Education & Qualifications**:

- P.Eng. designation (Mechanical /Civil Engineering degree preferred).
- Minimum 8-15 years of experience in pipeline design engineering and project management, with a focus on below-ground pipelines.
- Demonstrated experience working in the midstream/ downstream oil and gas sector, particularly within Western Canada.
- Strong working knowledge of CSA Z662, ASME B31.4, B31.8 codes, and relevant industry standards.
- In-depth understanding of Canadian regulations and jurisdictions related to pipeline design and construction.
- Experience in project management, including scope management, budgeting, and scheduling.
