We are currently looking for a **Logistics Coordinator**to join our team. This role will work closely with the customer service/sales, operations, and supply chain management teams. The role will be responsible for inbound and outbound transportation services for our customers and vendors and assist with managing intracompany branch inventory levels and some purchasing functions. This is a new role for Heritage Coffee, so other duties may be assigned as the role is evolving and the organizational needs change.
- Manage customer orders, arrange carriers (LTL, FTL, intermodal) and process shipping in ERP system for distribution centers
- Monitor London shipping calendar and manage outbound shipments from London, ensuring timely delivery to customers as per standard SLAs
- Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading, and customs paperwork as necessary
- Complete intracompany branch transfers of inventory to distribution centers, including inventory generation report, freight preparation, and entries in ERP system
- Complete daily ERP processing of roasting and finished goods transactions to prepare orders for shipment to customers and distribution centers
- Work closely with the supply chain management team to assist with inbound freight arrangements for raw materials, re-sale items, etc.
- Assist the supply chain management team in other duties as assigned, including supporting purchasing department functions
- Assist with generating purchase orders and following up with vendors to ensure on
- time delivery of products and materials
- Maintain high data integrity and accuracy when building, managing and completing orders
- Monitor, measure and provide ongoing feedback on freight carrier performance
- Ensure ongoing effective communication between customers, sales and operations teams to address issues in a timely manner
- Provide feedback to sales, operations and finance teams on areas of opportunity with freight-out logistics improvements and cost savings
- Collaborate with freight suppliers and internal teams to streamline operations and resolve any issues that arise
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, shipments, and deliveries
- Analyze logistics data to identify trends and improve efficiency in the supply chain process
- Ensure freight carrier compliance with SQF (Safe Quality Food) regulations and company policies throughout the logistics operations
- Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
- Completion of a College Diploma or University Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations or Business Administration
- Good understanding of supply chain management & logistics principles and related documents, and the transportation industry in general.
- Must have excellent customer service skills, a strong work ethic with exceptional interpersonal skills
- Well Organized, detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities
- Positive can-do attitude with willingness to take on additional tasks as required
- Takes ownership in resolving issues, is self-motivated and can work in a fast-paced environment with mínimal supervision
- Superior communication skills both written and verbal
- Strong decision-making skills and excellent judgment
- Strong business acumen and attention to detail
- High level of integrity and accountability, respects confidentiality
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and accounting software (SAGE 300 experience an asset)
