**JOB TITLE**:GSE Supervisor**

**REPORTS TO**: Director of Commercial Services
**Job Summary**
The Ground Service Equipment (GSE) Supervisor is responsible for managing the service, repair, and overall maintenance of the company’s and client’s fleet of owned, operated, and leased equipment.
**Job Duties and Responsibilities**
- Analyze root causes of equipment failures and propose corrective actions.
- Provide round-the-clock support for employees and troubleshoot their equipment problems and concerns.
- Perform regular inspections to identify and correct equipment malfunctions, repairs, and replacements.
- Assemble, test, and maintain company equipment and read and understand equipment operations and maintenance manuals.
- Provide employee assistance and on-the-job training when requested and propose improvements to enhance equipment reliability and performance.
- Monitor, Prioritize and Follow up on GSE Technician’s daily work loads
- Ensure GSE technicians work adheres to company policies and safety regulations.
- Ensure GSE Technicians maintain their working facility in a clean, safe, and organized way.
- Foster a healthy working environment and promote a positive climate within the workplace.
- Perform and uphold Wasaya’s Customer Care Commitments to both internal and external customers.
- Any other related duties as assigned.
**Minimum Skills and Qualifications**
- Post secondary diploma or degree in a related field.
- 5 + years previous maintenance experience or completion of a journeyman ticket or license in a related vehicle, heavy equipment, or small motors trade
- A valid class G driver’s license is required
- Able to work in a team environment, as well as unsupervised.
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally always.
- Must be able to work with mínimal supervision.
- Proven mechanical abilities.
- Ability to work independently in a busy environment.
- Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
- Able to work well under pressure.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- The ability to communicate in Oji-Cree or Ojibway is an asset.
- Previous airline experience is an asset.
- Experience with and/or knowledge of First Nations Organizations is an asset.
**Working Conditions**
- Occasional travel is required.
- Overtime as required.
- Weekend and evening work may be required.
**Physical Requirements**
- Ability to lift or move up to 50lbs.
- Manual dexterity is required to use desktop computers and peripherals.

**Education**:
- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
**Experience**:
- Maintenance: 5 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- License (auto, equipment, small motors) or Journeyman ticket (preferred)
- Class G Licence (required)
**Location**:
- Thunder Bay, ON P7E 6V3 (preferred)
