**Job Summary**
The Employee’s responsibilities include the following:
The **Logistics Coordinator** is responsible for all shipping completed accurately and in a timely fashion; monitoring all outbound and inbound shipments; tracking lost shipments; and ensure customer orders are arranged and received satisfied.
**Responsibilities**:
- Prepare and provide necessary shipping and import/export documents
- Coordinate outbound/inbound shipping with couriers (small parcel, LTL, Air, Sea).
- Assure orders and shipping quantities match picking documents through careful audit of documents, ensure that drivers depart with appropriate paperwork and ensure the accuracy of all shipping documents by strict adherence to standard operating procedures
- Update and keep USMCA Certificates to custom broker and carriers for shipment clearance
- Monitor all outbound and inbound shipments (i.e. FedEx, UPS, DHL, Trans-Ontario, Lodestar, etc.) and provide missing shipping detail to Customs in order to avoid any customs delay
- Provide best freight quotes to customers and sales representatives prior to shipping
- Notify consignees and customers of shipment arrival and coordinates shipment information to customers and their agents
- Check and approve all freight invoices before they are paid by AP; adjust any incorrect billing with carriers and couriers
- General office functions such as temporary reception coverage, filing, scanning or other duties as assigned
**Academic/Educational Requirements**:
- Completion of high school or diploma
- 3-5 years of shipping experience required.
**Required Skills/Experience**:
- Knowledge of SAP an asset
- Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written
- Read, write and speak English
- Must be able to work effectively with customers, vendors and other internal departments (I.E Sales, Production, Purchasing etc)
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of purchasing or shipping software systems
- Able to plan and organize various job tasks
- Must be able to work in diverse teams and work on multiple projects at one time
- Sound knowledge of Health and Safety practices
