We are seeking a self motivated, intellectually curious and technically brilliant individual to dive into complex analytics projects serving multiple internal stakeholders. The Business Intelligence (BI) analyst will drive improvements and expand Visier’s internal reporting capabilities. Visier has a data warehouse, along with corporate level analytics that are built off Visier’s own leading technology platform serving up analysis and insights to serve leadership in tracking and decision-making.
What You'll be Doing...:
This position is a highly visible role involving extensive collaboration with cross functional teams (Finance, IT, Sales, Marketing, Customer Experience, HR, Development).
As a part of Visier’s Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) team, the BI Analyst will be responsible for helping Visier to implement its continuous performance management initiatives to measure and monitor Visier’s progress in meeting its objectives, and to provide insights that drive quality decisions.
- Understand various aspects of Visier’s business and underlying data (e.g. CRM, Project, Financial, HR) and processes in order to build appropriate operational reporting
- Assist functional stakeholders in quickly and efficiently gaining insights to support decision making
- Correctly translate business metrics requirements from functional stakeholders to technical scope
- Load data from various source systems (e.g. Salesforce, ServiceNow) into the data warehouse
- Develop robust and scalable data models, workflows, security matrix to continue to build out the company-wide analytics solution that enables efficient data-driven decisions
- Working closely with the EPM team’s technical resources, modify and build metrics and visualizations using Visier’s technology platform
- Manage projects of competing priority simultaneously
- Design and publish dashboards and analysis to support the changing needs of the business

- They enjoy learning various aspects of business, both horizontally (e.g. from go-to-market to back-office) and vertically (e.g. from demand gen activities to post-sales care)
- Experience implementing data analysis and reporting projects.
- You understand the value of analytics and are eager to help drive process improvement and help stakeholders sophisticate how they use data to drive their decision making
- An entrepreneurial mindset that is comfortable dealing with change. Visier is a growing company and we often iterate rapidly
- Self-starter attitude - you are comfortable figuring things out on your own by plotting a path forward and asking intelligent questions where instructions might be limited
- Good business sense in combination with technical knowledge. You understand the “why” of certain KPI’s and are comfortable talking to stakeholders about them
- Ability to absorb and learn new concepts quickly and multi-task on different projects.
- Knowledge of how to utilize and manage ETL tools (e.g. Matillion) in relation to Snowflake
- Knowledge of database management systems and SQL skills
- Completion of a degree in Management Information Systems, Data Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or a combination of education, training and experience deemed equivalent
