Junior Supply Chain Expeditor

**Job Summary**
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Junior Supply Chain Expeditor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support amongst other duties, the supply chain aspect of engineering projects from preliminary design through to project turnover. This position also provides support for Document Control understanding and integration of contractual requirements of customer stakeholders’ specifications around Document Control.

**Responsibilities**
- Gather quotations from suppliers, carriers, rail companies and freight forwarders, and develop build-up of delivered costs.
- Proactively expediate and follow up on all aspects of the purchasing process with suppliers to schedule deliveries and resolve material discrepancies, outstanding or overdue deliveries, warranty claims, and return of materials.
- Prepare cost estimates, bid package preparation, issue and expediting, analysis summaries, budget forecasting, schedules, and estimates for delivery.
- Provide support for Document Control understanding Contractual requirements of customers specifications around Document Control
- Project Supplier list development.
- Quotation and Bid evaluation support.
- Issuing P.O.’s to suppliers
- Work directly with Suppliers to expedite material orders; communicate delays and scheduling conflicts with the Project Team.
- Closeout PO’s once contractual and procedural requirements have been met.
- Expedite purchase orders to identify problems that will adversely effect on delivery time.
- Prepare expediting status reports and other ad hoc reports as requested.
- Receive technical clarification requests from engineering project teams and send them to bidders for quotes and replies. Forward replies to the requested engineers.
- Ensure familiarity with vendor documentation requirements and ensure document management and lifecycle information requirements are being met.
- Ensure all project documentation submitted to the company document control system by project team members is correctly coded and filed in a timely manner.
- Receive and maintain project documentation according to project filing requirements.
- Assist team members with locating documents and answering document control related questions and resolving service issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Develop, maintain and manage strong interpersonal relationships with clients, engineers, and contractors, with the ability to deal sensitively, tactfully and diplomatically.
- Other duties as required.

**Skills**
- Experience in expediated procurement and logistics is most valuable
- SCM certifications and designations are helpful, and beneficial, but not a requirement.
- 2-4 years of experience in procurement, logistics and document control preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel PowerPoint, Outlook Teams) and particularly Excel with an aptitude for learning new systems.
- Experience gathering quotations and developing a build-up of delivered costs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively as a team member.
- A motivated self-starter with high attention to detail and accuracy while working in a time-conscious and time-effective manner in a high-paced, multi-task environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills who is responsive and provides excellent customer service to internal and external clients.

Pay: $46,000.00-$62,000.00 per year
