We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a high level of engagement to join our team as **Import Manager. **This role plays a strategic role by supervising the import team members and being the link for the vendor partners, business unit managers, quality control, graphics, and logistics’ departments. This position reports to our VP of International Sourcing.

**Responsibilities**:

- Supervise the import team, project developments and costing.
- Assist in price negotiation with vendors.
- Communicate with CRO team regarding projects and orders.
- Working with the product development team on new products.
- Ensure proper follow-up to obtain approval of new products with Licensors.
- Guide the import team on problem solving from sample development to shipment of order.
- Resolve issues that might arise between vendor partners, unit managers and the import team.
- Negotiate claims with vendors as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**Education and experience**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce and/or International Business.
- At least three (3) years of experience as Import Manager with demonstrable successful experience with offshore and China manufacturing.
- At least three (3) years of experience managing a team.

Skills and Abilities:

- Excellent verbal & written communication skills in both French & English
- Chinese speaking will be considered an asset
- Ability to work with multiple files and/or projects simultaneously.
- Ability to share information concisely and effectively in a timely manner.
- Good problem-solving skill.
