Assistant to The Director of Social Media

Streets of Toronto (SOT) is currently looking for an Assistant for our Director of Social Media.
This position would entail assisting our Director of Social with scaling and maintaining all our social media accounts. This includes, but is not limited to, sourcing, scheduling original and sourced content, aiding in shoots, content production and monitoring SOT’s social presence.
In addition to these content targets, the person tasked with managing these accounts would also be expected to assist with the following:
- Set up hosted video shoots
- Daily community management (ie: respond to direct messages, follow new accounts, comment and engage with our audience)
- Base level content creation for behind-the-scenes stories
- Aid director in pitch meetings with content team
- Aid director with scheduling original content and sponsored shoots
- May be required to assist on shoots with content team
- Track metrics on a weekly basis
- Coordinate contests on our feed (ie: scheduling, posting, contacting winner, etc.)
- Aid in coordinating sponsored content
- Pushing content
Ideally, we are looking for someone who:
- Lives on social media and has in-depth knowledge of each platform
- Is fluent in English
- Has experience responding and managing communications on social media
- Has photo and video sourcing experience
- Has experience generating engagement (Likes, Comments, Shares, Story Views, New Followers, etc.)
- Knows how to create a scroll stopping post/feed
- Is organized and respectful of deadlines
- Experience with scheduling platforms, such as Planoly, is an asset
- Is a self-starter with a high level of energy and motivation
- Loves Toronto
