Carpenter Co. has an immediate opening for a Production Manager, day shift at our **Montreal** manufacturing plant. This position is responsible for for all facets of the production operations including the direct supervision of the hourly employees.

Carpenter Co. employees are committed to working hard to ensure production goals are met while maintaining operations excellence. As the Production Manager,you will be expected to manage and maintain a safe Plant operation per company standards and guidelines.

**Your additional responsibilities as Production Manager will include**:

- Establish and maintain a level of quality consistent with customer expectations.
- Foster a work environment which promotes respect, discipline, teamwork, and employee involvement/ownership.
- Prepares operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production targets are met. Review production/operating reports, resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance issues to minimize costs and prevent delays.
- Use of manufacturing philosophies to continuously improve all facets of the operation.

**Skills & Requirements**
- Bachelor's degree in a Business, Engineering or Manufacturing/Industrial field preferred
- Min. 5 years’ production experience in a manufacturing environment
- Must be fluent in French and English in reading, writing, and communication
- Ability to work successfully in an autonomous environment
- Knowledge of SAP is an asset
- Capability to work under just-in-time and lean manufacturing theories
