**POSITION OVERVIEW**:
As a member of our operations team, the Equipment Operator will be responsible for operating excavators and skid steers to aid in installation of roadside safety systems and ground mounted signage.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Install signs, guard rail, barrier, and other safety systems in a safe and efficient manner
- Utilize excavators or skid steers to load, unload, and move steel barrier into position
- Utilize skid steers to auger post holes for ground-mounted signage or guardrail posts
- Use hand power tools to secure systems in place in accordance with safe work practices and safe job procedures
- Load and unload trucks with appropriate materials for project completion
- Complete vehicle and equipment inspections and operate company vehicles and/or trailers out to site
- Provide preventative maintenance and cleaning of trucks and equipment
- Maintain a professional demeanor to the public and customers while in the field
- Maintain proper organization in the yard when loading and unloading vehicles
- Lead and participate in toolbox/onsite safety meetings
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Minimum of one (1) year experience operating excavators, loaders, or skid steers
- Ability to work flexible schedules and overtime
- Ability to communicate with project team members to ensure tasks are executed in a timely manner
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Valid provincial driver's license and clean drivers abstract
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug & alcohol testing
- Preferably, valid Flagger training certificate
- Preferably, Construction Safety Training certificate
