As a Heavy Equipment Operator at Blue Ridge, you will be responsible for a variety of heavy construction equipment, including excavators, skid steers, loaders, dozers and compactors.

**Responsibilities**:

- Operate heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manger
- Follow safety guidelines as per Blue Ridge Excavating Ltd.’s Health and Safety Manual
- Adhere to all applicable regulations and laws
- Assist with the loading / unloading and proper securement of equipment for transportation
- Perform minor maintenance and lubrication tasks on assigned trucks and trailers
- Maintain a clean and safe worksite at all times
- Perform job site inspections to identify and control potential hazards
- Complete work at site as per site specific drawings / documents and guidance from Blue Ridge Excavating Ltd site Foreman

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of 3 years experience in excavating and backfilling of residential projects
- Valid driver’s license (copies are required to be kept on file)
- Knowledge and adherence to all safety regulations and procedures
- Ability to perform routine maintenance on heavy equipment
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills
