**Business Analyst (Full Time) - Brampton, ON**

**Primary Purpose**

The Business Analyst assists with the implementation and support of business information systems and KPI dashboards across multiple departments. Identify problems and opportunities and ultimately provide solutions that help achieve the business' goals. The Business analyst collaborates with Finance, Business and IT teams to develop initiatives and strategies that optimize costs and improve internal and external reporting. The Business Analyst will be accountable to assist in developing sound business cases that supports business process optimization and overall profitability improvement. In addition, they will develop and monitor data quality metrics, develop new models that underpin sound business decisions, and ensure business data and reporting needs are met. Business Analyst supports the National productivity function with data maintenance, entering projects and monthly productivity reporting.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Collecting and analyzing data for potential business expansion
- Identifying specific business opportunities
- Influencing stakeholders to support business projects
- Leading projects and coordinating with other teams to produce better business outcomes
- Testing business processes and recommending improvements
- Creating a detailed business analysis, outlining problems, opportunities, and solution for a business
- Planning and monitoring
- Financial modelling
- Variance analysis, pricing, and reporting
- Defining business requirements and reporting them back to stakeholders
- Streamlining and improving of internal and external reporting
- Support productivity projects and all corporate reporting

**Required Qualifications**

**Education**
- Completed post-secondary education in any of, or a combination of, the following disciplines:

- Accounting and Finance/Business administration/Management/Information Technology

**Experience**
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in business and/or financial roles and analysis
- Proficiency in Excel, with experience in creating reporting models, scorecards and templates
- Experience with large ERP systems - Hyperion, JD Edwards and Oracle databases would be an asset

**Knowledge / Skills / Abilities**
- Strong analytical and communication skills are must-have traits
- Strong understanding of regulatory and reporting requirements
- Experience in forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis combined with understanding of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Experience working with senior management
- Strong communication/interpersonal skills
- Proficient in SQL and Microsoft Access
- Advanced Excel and power point skills
- Ability to react quickly and provide solutions to problems
- High sense of urgency and strong work ethic
- Perform well under pressure and provide logical solutions
