Relief Night Audit Supervisor

**POSITION PURPOSE**:
Element Vancouver Metrotown is a 169 room property in Burnaby, BC. This position will be Manager on Duty for the hotel two overnight shifts a week and the remaining days will be worked as a Night Auditor. Shift starts at 11pm and ends at 7:30am. Manage overall hotel operations and reconciliation/posting of all revenues on the late night shift. This individual will perform a variety of duties from Front Desk Agent to accountant and support all departments. This individual should possess great knowledge of hotel operations, the surrounding geographic area and all hotel facilities. Comfortable being the leader and operating autonomously they focus on maintaining the look and feel of the hotel assuring it is fresh and ready for the next day.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**:

- Reconcile and complete all daily Front Office agents’ work.
- Run all night audit functions consistent with closing out all daily transactions and preparing for the following day’s operations.
- Provide next day reports for the Front Office, Housekeeping, Sales Dept. and the GM as required.
- Perform all the duties of a Front Office agent as assigned including but not limited to check-in, checkout, financial transactions, directions, kiosk operations, etc.
- Assure the hotel is clean and in perfect working order ready for the next day.
- Ensure all guests are greeted and welcomed on arrival and departure.
- Act as the first contact point for any guest issues on the overnight.
- Answer all guest calls and delivery of messages on the overnight.
- Additional duties as necessary and assigned.

**SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES**

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and adequately illustrate that he or she can perform these essential functions, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of knowledge, skills, and abilities:

- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
- Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.
- Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must possess basic computational ability.
- Must possess basic computer skills.
- Knowledge of computer accounting programs, math skills as well as budgetary analysis capabilities required.
- General knowledge of the city where hotel is located and its attractions.
- Extensive knowledge of the hotel, its services and facilities.

**QUALIFICATION STANDARDS**

**Education**

High school or equivalent education required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

**Experience**

**Salary**: $20.57-$25.72 per hour
