We train, educate, and lead our staff from our grassroots history.** **Leadership - We are leaders in sustainable tourism and community development.** **Reliability - We assure our guests that they can rely on our services.** ***: Supporting General Manager with overseeing the day-to-day hotel operation, including Housekeeping, Guest Services, F&B and Maintenance and certain Human Resources responsibilities. The Operations Manager will assist the General Manager to ensure the consistency and quality of the guest experience, as well as meeting company financial and efficiency targets. **RESPONSIBILITIES**: - Assist the General Manager with hotel operations in a leadership capacity and as required. - Oversee the daily operations of the Guest Services, Housekeeping, and Maintenance departments under the guidance of the General Manager - Develop and implement operational policies and procedures in collaboration with the General Manager - Work closely with General Manager team to develop and implement strategies to improve overall performance and profitability. - Assist General Manger with budgeting and ensuring compliance is established with health and safety regulations. - Assist General Manager with ensuring exceptional guest experiences as a consistent and standard deliverable by establishing communication with guests and assisting with the resolution of any problems. - Engage, train, and develop the leadership team and staff. - Ensure efficient emergency response. - Assist General Manager with managing inventory, yield, and revenue to maximize profitability. - Assist the General Manager in staffing the hotel appropriately, including recruiting, training, coaching, and supporting all team members. - Foster exceptional communication between all departments - Assist the General Manager in the implementation and facilitation of capital projects and goals. - Perform any other duties as required. **REQUIREMENTS**: - This is an excellent opportunity for a positive, professional, innovative, results-oriented individual with outstanding communication skills and proven "hands-on" management style. - Must be outgoing, self-motivated, goal-orientated, with exceptional guest relations, problem-solving & organizational skills. - Minimum of 3 years' experience in a hotel leadership role, and 5 years industry experience with a focus on Guest Services. - Must have proven leadership abilities including effective recruiting and retention skills, training, performance management, and professional development. - Requirement for exceptional communication skills, and a background in short and long-term planning. - Competent in reading business financials and hold a solid understanding of revenue and yield management. - Strong knowledge of all facets of F&B operations, with a commitment to service excellence, and the ability to develop effective training programs. - A degree/diploma in Business Management/ Administration and or Hospitality Management programs preferred. - Additional languages an asset.
