Reporting to the Manager, National Dispatch & Invoicing, the Dispatcher will be responsible for Coordinating the service calls for Technicians.

**Skills/Abilities**
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills required
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities, consistently meet deadlines and possess strong organizational skills
- Knowledge of the geographical area dispatching for
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Answer all incoming telephone service requests and record all pertinent information
- Dispatch calls using the information gathered to supply information needed by technician
- Determine priorities to be assigned to service calls
- Determine which technician is the closest and most experienced for the job
- Follow up with technicians with regards to the status of their jobs for timely completion
- Confirm if parts have been received so that the job can be scheduled
- Confirm special instructions for job such as overtime, two-man job or specialty tool(s) required
- Answer customer inquiries regarding their invoices, technician’s arrival etc.
- Prepare daily and weekly summary for technicians’ timesheets
- Record approved technician vacations on timesheets (maintain tech plan)
- Provide assistance with clerical duties as required
- Work with all departments to respond to customer requests
- Work as a team with the Regional Manager and the technicians assigned to your dispatch area
- Additional duties as required
- Comply with Health and Safety policies and procedures

**Requirements**:

- College diploma/ degree or equivalent experience required
- 2-4 years experience with dispatching
