Seeking a part time After School Care Supervisor. A child/Youth worker or ECE is preferred but not mandatory; to become a part of our after school program in Stoney Creek, Ontario.

Requirements or Qualifications:

- Experience in childcare field is an asset.
- Caring and nurturing attitude.
- Appreciates and supports our Mission to make a lasting difference in the lives of children.
- Current CPR and First Aid.
- Must be able to drive to pick up children in our company vehicle.
- Strong work ethic and effective time management skills.
- Independent and reliable team player.

Job Description/Criteria:

- Conduct and create fun activities designed for young children.
- Lead children in engaging activities such as; telling stories, and preparing craft materials.
- Monitor children during snack time.
- Providing supervision during outside playground activities (seasonal).
- Attend staff meetings and reporting to discuss progress and problems of children.
- Communicate and record any day to day behavioral conduct of the children.
- Maintain after school-care equipment and assist in housekeeping duties.
- Proven effective conflict resolution and problem solving skills.
- Monitoring student behavior and modeling positive behavior.
- Using appropriate language, interactions and positive discipline.
- Helping students (snacks, medication, clothes, shoes, and bathroom) as need be.
- Providing children with a tidy, clean, healthy, safe and secure environment; monitoring students regarding allergies (food, hand washing, etc).
- Supervising children and making sure that they are dressed and ready for their daily after school martial arts lesson within our facility.
