**Responsibilities**:

- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables or study sample parts to determine machining operation to be performed
- Compute dimensions and tolerances and measure and lay out work pieces.
- Set up, operate and maintain a variety of machine tools including computer numerically controlled (CNC) tools to perform precision, non-repetitive machining operations such as turning, milling, boring, drilling and other operations.
- Complete change-over activities (Machine preparation from previous job set-up to new job set-up)
- Complete manufacturing of first part per process instruction.
- Verify dimensions of machined parts for accuracy and conformance to specifications using micrometres, verniers, calipers, height gauges or other specialized measuring instruments.
- Advise supervisor and setup team of technical advancements to increase production.
- Report deviations from specifications and tolerances to supervisor.
- Document completion of all required processes and record production in Barcoding system.
- Troubleshoot parts when issues occur.
- Communicating critical information to supervisor and oncoming shifts including quality concerns, tooling issues, maintenance concerns and production requirements.
- Setting up fixture components for jobs that require CNC Machining.
- Understanding and have functional use of CNC code and CNC programming.
- Setting machine origins in accordance with the set-up instructions.
- Setting and loading all tools in conjunction with set-up instructions to complete assigned jobs
- Maintaining a clean and safe work area while operating equipment according to established procedures.
- Other duties as required.

**Qualifications**:

- Completion of secondary school or equivalent.
- Ability to read blue prints.
- Familiar with SPC.
- Ability to work shifts on a rotating basis.

**Skills**:

- Meticulous attention to detail is required.
- Safety conscious.
- High levels of problem-solving skills and the ability to learn quickly
