We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist with hands-on experience working with manual lathes and milling machines to join our team. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating both manual and computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce precision parts. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
**Responsibilities**:
Set up and operate manual lathes and milling machines, as well as CNC machines, to perform machining operations according to specifications
Work with different materials such as aluminum, brass, stainless steel, Teflon, and nylon
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job orders
Program CNC machines to execute specific operations, ensuring optimal efficiency and accuracy
Use precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions of finished parts
Inspect finished parts for quality and accuracy
Make adjustments to machine settings as needed
Maintain machine cleanliness and perform routine maintenance tasks
Collaborate with team members to ensure production goals are met
**Experience**:
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CNC Machinist
Hands-on experience setting up and operating manual lathes and milling machines
Proficient in basic math and blueprint reading
Familiarity with Fanuc controls is preferred
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is a plus
Experience with SolidWorks or other CAD software is a plus
**Skills**:
Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
Ability to operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively
Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks
Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
