A career in Financial Markets at National Bank is to participate in the transformation to have a direct impact on the client. As a Manager in Loan Administration for corporate clients you will support the directors and managing directors within the credit capital markets (CCM) sector.
This position represents a replacement role within the team and reports directly into the Senior Manager, Credit and Collateral Management CCM. The incumbent will manage a team of 8 advisors out of our Toronto office. We are looking for an expertise in managing advisors in loan administration of credit capital market clients, experience analyzing credit agreement from an administration perspective as well as being able to proactively identify needs to change or address inefficiencies or situations related to administration. **Your role**:
- Work in partnership with various internal and external stakeholders (line of business, clients, law firm, trustees) in syndicated and direct financing transactions
- Orient stakeholders by evaluating and identifying their needs and proposing appropriate solutions to support the implementation of activities considering the diversity of cases and bank’s operational limitations
- Interact with different sectors of the Bank, managers, and employees to interpret information and offer support and advice on grey area situations
- Respond to requests from advisors, internal and external stakeholders or direct them appropriately to get a response
- Support your team in the implementation at different stages of the loan cycle and ensure follow-up until full completion of the request
- Proactively report problematic situations and propose solutions to such problems to your manager
- Ensure your team works with mínimal supervision but always be available when required for interpretation of defined methods and procedures when necessary

Competencies required:
- 3-year Professional College Diploma in a related field & 10+ years’ experience OR Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 5+ years of experience in Commercial or Capital Markets Sector of a Financial Institution
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in loan administration with the Commercial or Capital Markets sector of a Financial Institution
- Minimum 2 years’ experience managing a team of 5+ loan advisors with the Commercial or Capital Markets sector of a Financial Institution
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong ability to multi-task in a fast changing and high-pressure environment
- Detail oriented with excellent organizational, problem solving and communication skills
- Be able to work well in a team environment
Preferred competencies
- Familiar with Loan IQ (loan database system)
