The Links of Kent is looking for a Head Chef to join our team. Featuring a large clubhouse at our golf course located in the heart of the city, with two banquet halls and a clubhouse open 7 days a week.
Chef responsibilities include and are not limited to; studying recipes, setting up menus and preparing high-quality dishes, scheduling, ordering, monitoring food and labor costs. You should be able to delegate tasks to kitchen staff while working with them to ensure meals are prepared in a timely manner. Also, you should be familiar with sanitation regulations. We offer full breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu to out golfers and the public. Doing multiple weddings, functions, and other private events a year, we are looking for an applicant with both restaurant and banquet experience.
**Requirements**:
- Proven work experience as a Chef or Cook
- Hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment
- Advanced knowledge of culinary, baking and pastry techniques
- Leadership skills
- Ability to remain calm and undertake various tasks
- Excellent time management abilities
- Up-to-date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes
- Familiarity with sanitation regulations
- Culinary school diploma preferred
