**Sturgeon Public Schools** **is currently seeking an **Inclusive Programming Coach (teacher)** **to work with Learning Services and report to the Coordinator of Learning Services.

This position is responsible for developing and implementing effective programming to meet the needs of diverse learners. This Inclusive Programming Coach will work alongside our Specialized Programming teachers, classroom teachers, Learning Support Leads, and other school staff, to support implementation of the Assessment of Basic Language and Learning Skills (ABLLS) and The Assessment of Functional Living Skills (AFLS), Emergent Literacy and Numeracy, and therapeutic recommendations. The Inclusive Programming Coach will provide coaching and support to staff to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to effectively implement this new programming, assessment and strategies.

**Assignment**:0.5 FTE; Temporary

**Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and parents to implement programming to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Support and collaborate with the school team to develop, implement, and evaluate Individualized Program Plans (IPPs) for students accessing modified programming
- Provide coaching and support to teachers and staff on inclusive teaching practices and strategies
- Conduct assessments and monitor student progress using the evidence-based practice of ABLLS (Assessment of Basic Language and Learning Skills) and AFLS (Assessment of Functional Living Skills)
- Develop divisional inclusive education resource library
- Provide training and professional development to staff on the implementation of evidence-based practices, including ABLLS and AFLS
- Support student participation and access to learning
- Use assistive technology and adaptive equipment
- Collect, summarize and interpret data to inform programming and resources

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Education with a specialty in Special Education, or related field; Master's degree preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with students with moderate to severe developmental disabilities and diverse learning needs in inclusive classrooms
- Experience in instructional coaching would be an asset
- Knowledge and experience with evidence-based practices
- Knowledge and experience with Augmented and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices
- Strong communication, organization and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, school staff, and parents
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Level B Assessment certification would be an asset
