**We are looking for a Rehabilitation Assistant for a Casual role.**

**JOB SUMMARY**:
Reporting to the Director of Care (DoC), the Rehab Assistant carries out designated components of a rehabilitative treatment plan and/or program, such as activities of daily living, mobility, strengthening and balance exercises, recreation, and/or communication therapy on each shift they work.

**Responsibilities**:

- Completes Occupational Therapist delegated tasks
- Facilitates social programs and rehabilitative treatment plans
- Maintains therapy equipment and supplies, such as cleaning equipment and maintaining inventories; provides input regarding purchase of new equipment, as well as general maintenance and repair of equipment
- Observes and reports cognitive and functional changes in residents
- Communicates effectively with residents, families, staff and volunteers
- Performs other related duties as assigned

**Requirements**:
Must be a graduate of a recognized Rehabilitation Assistant program or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

One year recent related experience working as a Rehab Assistant is required.

**Salary**:
Based on Collective Agreement

**Availability**:
Monday to Sunday 8am - 5pm
- NOTE: As per the current Public Health Orders (Long-Term Care/Seniors Assisted Living Provincial Health Officer Order and the Health Sector Order), as of October 26, 2021, all employees and contractors working in healthcare must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. Proof of vaccination status will be required._
