**Infant Toddler Teacher**
Earth Child Montessori School Ltd. (hereafter known as the school), well established in Richmond, BC in 2001, is a full day early learning Montessori program designed for infant and children up to 12 years old. The school is a government licensed and approved group Montessori daycare centre. In the past 17 years, the school has been expanding continually.
Our largest campus, which is located in 7780 Alderbridge Richmond has a capacity of 125 children ranging from ages 0-5 and for after school 25 children ranging from ages 5-12.
Main duties:
- Develop and implement learning programs to meet the physical, cognitive, cultural, emotional and social development of children
- Provide a nurturing, safe, stable and enjoyable environment for our children
- Enable children to have fun all day, regardless of whether they are playing or learning
- Lead activities of children for learning, playing, skills developing, team working
- Encourage children, parents and staff to develop long-lasting friendships with one another
- Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports
- Encourage and support each child
- Regularly communicate with parents and guardians regarding their children’s in development and learning progress.
Employment Requirement:
- Completion of a college program
- Infant Toddler License to Practice in BC is required.
- Montessori Training (preferred but not necessary)
- Work experience in child care field is required.
- Completion of Criminal Record Check
- Childcare First Aid certificate
- Food Safe Certificate is an asset
- Special Needs Certificate is an asset
Skills Requirement:
- Must be able to work as a team and individually
- Must be patient and caring and able to guide children effectively
- Must have open communication with staff and parents
- Ability to work under pressure
Terms of Employment:
- Full-time, permanent
Wage and Benefits:
- $20 - $24 Depending on experience
- Health care, Extended Health Care, Vision Care, Dental Care, Vacation
- The salary offered depend on qualification and experience. 3-month probationary period and benefits provided after completion of 6 months.
