Metalumen is looking for a Technician - Manufacturing Support to be the “right hand” for our Manufacturing Engineering Manager.

**About the position**

**Main Duties**
- Maintain production equipment and building facilities in a safe and structured manner through the performance of regularly scheduled preventative maintenance
- Spot welding
- Identify, troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues
- Support the installation and commissioning of new equipment and production processes
- Proactively work to improve equipment uptime and reliability.
- Support specific production processes as called upon
- Fabricate jigs and fixtures when needed
- Work to ensure regulatory compliance in regards to pre-start health and safety reviews as well as third party compliance audits
- Support the H&S committee
- Other duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- Certificate of qualification as a Maintenance Mechanic, Millwright or similarly related trade with the requisite experience.
- 5-10 years working in a manufacturing environment
- Computer knowledge
- Hands on knowledge of sheet metal fabrication equipment such as shears, turret presses, CNC lasers, brake presses, punches, etc.
- Experience in automated CNC machinery and Robotics (ABB, Fanuc) preferred
- Red Seal certification
- Hands on working knowledge of, multi -stage powder painting systems, and infrared curing ovens is a definite asset
- Critical thinking, troubleshooting, teamwork, organization, time management, creative, positive outlook, flexible, reliable, consistent
