**JOB SUMMARY**: Reporting directly to the Superintendent of Business Services, and the Controller, and working closely with staff throughout the Board, the Financial Analyst is responsible for various accounting, administrative and Ministry reporting related duties. The duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Liaising between the Superintendent’s Office, Schools, Transportation, and the Ministry of Education with respect to the co-ordination and collection and verification of information for the Ministry, ONSIS reporting including Enrolment Reports, School Reports, Class Size Reports, Teaching Staff Reports, Teaching Assignment Reports, and Board Reports, etc;
Completing enrolment sections for Grants for Student Needs submissions;
Board resource and trainer for enrolment related software programs;
Preparing enrolment projections and reports;
Reconciling and verifying enrolment reports to OnSIS and ensuring required approvals;
Performing internal audit checks to ensure compliance with internal controls;
Additional tasks as assigned.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
University Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting or relevant field of study;
A minimum of 2 years recent experience in a computerized accounting environment;
Excellent mathematical, analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving and research skills, as well as attention to detail and accuracy;
Demonstrated proficiency with computer spreadsheet programs, preferably MS Excel, MS Word, Internet, Charts, Graphs and PowerPoint;
A team player with a composed, discreet and professional manner; excellent organizational and time management skills,

Excellent written and oral communication skills;
Strong ability to prioritize, handling multiple deliverables effectively, and work under stringent deadlines with mínimal supervision;
Experience working with a computerized student data information system such as ONSIS and/or Edsembli would be an asset;
A commitment to continuing education.
