**About Manzl (The Mentoring Program)**

Manzl is a non-profit working out of Ontario, Canada since 2020. Individuals in Pakistan are not aware of the wealth of opportunities that are available to improve their skills, take the next step in their careers, or move abroad.

We currently work with Akhuwat College Chakwal. Akhuwat Foundation is a Pakistan-wide non-profit organization dedicated to uplifting the lives of the less privileged. Other initiatives they work on are the Akhuwat microfinance program which is one of the world’s largest micro-credit programs and the Akhuwat Housing program which has built 300,000 affordable houses for the underprivileged.

Our mission is to provide underprivileged students with learning resources through mentorship. We want to empower them to follow their dreams and achieve economic independence. We are hoping to achieve this by creating a platform that matches high-school and university-age Pakistanis to professionals and students around the world who want to make a difference.

**About Our Team**

Are you interested in having a direct impact on the growth of the Pakistani youth? Are you looking for an opportunity to be able to share your educational or professional experiences with the youth back in Pakistan? Our e-mentoring initiative would be just the right fit for you.

**About The Role**

All of our mentorship sessions are done virtually on Google Meet. You can be anywhere in the world to take part in this opportunity.

**Responsibilities**:

- Mentor and guide two students on how to improve their English (we will provide you with a syllabus)
- Commit to attending each mentorship session with each mentee prepared to conduct the sessions
- Engage in our Slack community to share feedback, challenges, and wins from the program
- Understand that this is a 12-week commitment and it affects students if you are unable to commit to the entire duration of the program.

**Requirements**:

- Advanced proficiency in English
- Experience in mentorship preferred
- Experience with any of the following: MS Word / Powerpoint / Slack / Google Docs / Google G Suite
- Please note you will be working with a worldwide Pakistani community during this initiative. Speaking the local language, Urdu, is not a requirement but is preferred.

**Next Steps**

Please note this is a volunteer opportunity and you will receive a certificate upon completion. This opportunity requires a commitment of 2 hours per week. Additionally, we provide our mentors with letters of recommendation for school or work purposes. Please submit a resume to be considered for this position. A cover letter is not required.
