**Regional Health & Safety Manager**

**About the position**

Reporting to the Director of EHSQ Canada, the Regional Health & Safety Manager is responsible for all EH&S activities within multiple facilities in Alberta and Northern British Columbia.

This is a contract position (2 year fixed-term).

**WHAT YOU'LL DO**:

- Handling of applicable government regulations; participates in maintaining branch compliance.
- Provides guidance and acts as a resource for leadership/management, the Joint Health & Safety Committee and all employees in order to understand their roles and responsibilities in the company’s safety culture.
- Guides, directs, and participates in all aspects of EHS risk assessment and in the company’s certifications (ISO Standards, Agricultural Warehousing Standards, etc.).
- Responsible for the local emergency response plans and is the regional Technical Advisor for the national Emergency Response Assistance Plan (ERAP) Team and as such is on call 24/7.
- Resource and guidance for incident investigation. Part of the incident management, reporting and tracking process.
- Conducts EHS training as appropriate (New Hire Orientation, TDG, WHMIS, etc.).

**WHAT YOU'LL NEED**:

- Post-secondary degree/diploma in Occupational Health and Safety; Safety Management
- Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) (or actively working towards certification)
- Five (5) years direct experience in EHS required
