**About the Role**:
Sonic Incytes is seeking an Assembly Technician to join our growing team The Assembly Technician will be responsible for assembling and testing components of the Velacur® device in compliance with our quality and regulatory standards. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, technical aptitude, and a commitment to quality. Working in a dynamic environment, you will play a crucial part in producing a high-quality medical device that directly impacts patient care.

This role reports to the Director of Operations and is an in-person position in Vancouver, BC

**Responsibilities**:

- ** Assembly**: Assemble and calibrate components of the Velacur® device following approved work instructions, standard operating procedures, and specifications. Ensure all production and quality targets are met.
- **Testing and Inspection**:Perform electrical and mechanical testing on assembled devices to verify functionality and safety, conducting inspections at various assembly stages to ensure all components and systems meet specifications.
- **Receive and Inspect Materials**: Receive raw materials from suppliers, inspecting them to ensure compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) standards. Document and report any quality issues, coordinating with quality control and procurement as needed.
- **Troubleshooting**: Diagnose and resolve assembly issues to uphold product quality and adhere to technical standards. Perform repair, inspection, reassembly, replacement, and adjustment of the device as required.
- **Returns and Inspections**: Receive and inspect parts and products returned from customers, documenting issues and coordinating with quality control and service teams as needed.
- **Documentation and Compliance**: Maintain accurate records of assembly and test results in alignment with regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, ISO 13485) and the internal Quality Management System (QMS).
- **Inventory Management Updates**: Maintain accurate records in the company inventory management system (InFlow) by updating manufacturing data, purchase orders, and new inventory received. Ensure all entries are complete and reflect current stock levels and order statuses.
- **Vendor Coordination**: Supporting sourcing product components, coordinating with suppliers and vendors to purchase and expedite delivery of key components. This includes the creation and filing of Purchase Orders.
- **Process Improvement**: Work with quality control and engineering teams to continuously enhance assembly techniques and processes.
- **Safety and Organization**: Adhere to all safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment. Maintain tools, supplies, and a clean, organized workspace.
- **Training**: Assist with training new and current team members on assembly procedures.
- **Additional Tasks**: Perform other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:
- **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent required; a technical diploma or certification in electronics, mechatronics, or a related field is preferred.
- **Technical Skills**:
- Skilled in using both hand tools and electronic tools, including proficiency in soldering and analog/digital testing.
- Knowledge of electro-mechanical assembly processes, including troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
- **Quality and Compliance**: Familiarity with quality control standards in a regulated environment, such as ISO 9001 or ISO 13485. Previous experience in quality-controlled settings is preferred.
- **Vendor Interaction**: Ability to source components and effectively interact with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of parts.
- Order components both for R&D and manufacturing
- Making Purchase Orders (POs) and getting it approved from respective personnel
- Tracking orders and keeping team updated on the status of shipments
- **Communication Skills**: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and convey information clearly.
- **Adaptability**: Capable of working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities and deadlines.
- **Self-Motivation and Problem-Solving**: A proactive, self-starting attitude with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work with mínimal supervision.
- **Computer Skills**: Proficient in MS Office suite for daily documentation and communication.
- **Personal Attributes**: Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and a team-oriented mindset.
