**Summary of Position**:
The Production Specialist is responsible for preparing substrates/media and producing all graphic / signage jobs according to work order specifications within the stated timeline. The Production Specialist will assist with on-site signage inspection and sign measuring tasks. In addition, this team member is responsible for graphic / signage installations at the client’s site. On the job training will also be provided.
This person serves as backup to the Production Manager and assists with walk-in clients, answering phones and inventory management.
**Qualifications & Skills**:
- Current driver’s license and clean driver record.
- Knowledge of sign industry substrates, media, products a plus.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Professional, upbeat, positive attitude.
- Sharp attention to detail.
- Keen multi-tasking abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as an integral team member.
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with diverse customer/prospect base.
**Experience in the following a definite plus but not mandatory**:
- Previous experience in the sign / graphic industry.
- Knowledge of sign / graphic industry substrates, media, and products.
- Adobe InDesign - current version
- Adobe Illustrator - current version
- Adobe Photoshop - current version
- Adobe Acrobat Professional - current version
- Microsoft Office - current version (Word, Excel, Power Point)
- Wide-format printer, vinyl plotter, laminator and/or Onyx RIP operation.
- Color management concepts and procedures.
**Primary Responsibilities**:
- A. Operation and Maintenance of Equipment:_
- Operate plotter, laminator, wide-format equipment to produce client jobs.
- Operate desktop and/or copier scanners as needed.
- Operate sign cutters, saws, drills and other sign building equipment as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and operation of sign building equipment to ensure efficiency in production.
B. _Quality_
- Maintain superior quality on all individual work.
- Work with team members to ensure superior quality on all jobs produced.
C. _Inventory_:
- Monitor sign substrate / material inventory and report to management in timely manner to ensure consistency in production flow and avoid production shut downs.
D. _Customer Service - as necessary:_
- Work with clients in a consultative manner to understand their needs and provide guidance for best solution.
- Promote Allegra in a professional manner while on client site for installation, sign delivery and/or site inspection/ sign measuring tasks.
E. _End of Day Procedures:_
- Keep work zone tidy and clutter free.
- Perform routine maintenance / cleaning on equipment
F. _General:_
- Participate in daily production meetings.
- Work with management to reschedule workloads as necessary to meet promised due dates.
- Abide by centre policies/procedures as outlined.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
