**About the Role**:
We are a private family in Parkland County, Alberta, seeking a passionate, knowledgeable, and mission-driven educator to both educate our young children and help us establish a private or charter classical school in the region.

Our children are currently below preschool age, so the role involves not only delivering early foundational classical education but also caring for the day-to-day needs typical of toddlers—guidance, routine setting, play-based learning, and developmental support.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an educator who believes in the value of classical education—centered on virtue, critical thinking, literature, and the Socratic method—and who is excited about shaping the vision for a new educational institution from the ground up.

**What You’ll Do**:

- Provide daily, in-home education using classical methodologies adapted for early childhood
- Support developmentally appropriate routines, including meals, naps, and structured play
- Introduce literature, music, nature, language, and character-building concepts in a joyful, age-appropriate way
- Assist with household organization related to children's routines and learning environments
- Partner with the family in designing and planning a future private or charter school in Parkland County
- Background in classical education, early childhood education, or liberal arts (Trivium, Charlotte Mason, Montessori, Waldorf, or similar experience is welcome)
- Teaching certification or equivalent experience (preferred but not required)
- Warm, nurturing approach with toddlers, combined with intellectual curiosity and vision
- Experience in homeschool or private school settings
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
- Interest in school development, curriculum planning, and community engagement
