**Purpose**:
The Research Support Office in the Faculty of Health provides a range of pre-award and post-award research services to almost 200 full-time faculty members across five academic units, as well as adjunct faculty and post-doctoral visitors from our Faculty who hold funds at the university. Health research encompasses a diverse range of approaches and disciplines and is funded by the three Tri-Council agencies and other funders. The faculty's external research funding totals $22M annually, translating to over 600 research cost centres. The Faculty of Health also hosts and supports three Organized Research Units and is the sponsoring Faculty for others. The Research Support Office administers internal and research funding, provides project management for major research initiatives, and plays an emerging role in graduate students academic and planning functions.Under the direction of the Director, Strategic Research and Partnerships, the Manager, Research Operations role manages operations of the Faculty of Health Research Support Office, and provides expertise and accountability for human resources, financial, and operations management of the Faculty of Health's Organized Research Units and major research projects. The role works collaboratively on related projects and initiatives with the Director, ORU Directors, Associate Dean, Research & Innovation, Dean and Executive Officer.

**Education**:
Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline.

**Experience**:
4 years of related experience.
2 years of management or supervisory experience.
Administrative/managerial experience in a university or comparable institutional environment including managing budgets, planning, analysis, and managing staff in a unionized environment.

**Skills**:
Knowledge
Understanding of the nature of university-based research and the research goals and objectives of a faculty.

- **Compensation**:
York's CPM Compensation Framework has a salary grid consisting of 6 or 8 steps (depending on job grade) which is reviewed annually with possible adjustments, and a lump sum Performance Based Recognition Award. Employees will receive the grid adjustment and depending on performance, eligible permanent employees may move to the next step of the grid and may receive a lump sum Performance Based Recognition Award.Visit the CPM Compensation page on the HR Website to find out more about York's CPM Compensation Program.
