Community Ambitions is looking to expand our team

Reporting to the Directors, the employee will provide support and services to adults with Developmental Disabilities within the Day Service Facility and in the community.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Enable and support individuals to complete contract work and other tasks within the facility while promoting their independence and goals related to their Individual program plan.
Enable and support individuals to participate in the community taking part in volunteer work, recreation, and employment activities.

Use the principals of Non Violent Crisis Intervention to respond to intense anxieties or challenging behavior in a quiet and professional manner.
Providing medication administration when needed. Following the guidelines set out by Community Ambitions, the prescribing physician and Family Services.
Assist individuals to maintain good personal hygiene.
Assist in maintaining a healthy safe and clean environment. Performing routine housekeeping tasks.
Assist with lunch preparation and snacks.
Assist with ambulation when necessary.
Report to Director any changes or concerns regarding program participants.
Uphold and promote the organization’s values relating to ethics, privacy, morality, professionalism and integrity.
Other duties as required.
Qualifications/ Requirements
Experience working with individuals living with an intellectual disability.
Criminal Record check/child abuse registry check.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. (English)
Physically able to meet job requirements.
Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.

- Benefits Available
- Wage per hour. $15.30 - $17.00, Increase and benefits after 3 months.

**Salary**: From $15.30 per hour
