We are looking for a part-time or full time experienced fishmonger to help in the kitchen with prepared seafood production and assist the front of house with helping customers. We’ll provide a friendly work environment, on the job training and lots of opportunity for advancement as we grow our business.

**What you’ll do**:

- Prepared seafood production, executing made-from-scratch recipes (chowders, crab cakes, etc.)
- Cut, portion, skin, pinbone and fillet fish as required.
- Maintains a safe and clean kitchen, work area and retail storefront.
- Cleans display case, glass, merchandisers, coolers, floors, and cookware as required.
- Follow Food, Health and Workplace Safety standards
- Advise customers on how to choose the type of fish to purchase, and how to prepare it.
- Weigh, wrap and affix price labels to products, ring up transactions.
- Replenish supplies and rotate products in the display counter.
- Perform full store opening and/or closing routine.
- Learn about responsible fishing practices and the various standards and certifications for sustainable seafood.

**Job Requirements**:

- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Experience (and passion for) working with fresh fish and a variety of seafood.
- Basic knife skills.
- Good knowledge of food principles and best practices
- Able to work in fast-paced environment under mínimal supervision.
- Able to lift 50 lb. boxes.
- Must have Food Handler Certification
- Compensation: $18 -$21/hr

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 25 per week
