Shop Foreman

This is a full-time position, hours are 8 to 5 Monday through Friday and 8 to 3 every third Saturday.

**Responsibilities**:

- Overseeing work to anticipate, detect, and address factors that impede operations
- Ensures that repairs are performed correctly and efficiently by qualified technicians
- Ensures that the service department maintains a high level of customer satisfaction
- Assists technicians in developing their skills
- Understands and ensures compliance with manufacturer warranty and policy procedures
- Provides technical support for technicians when necessary
- Maintains high-quality service repairs and minimizes comebacks
- Conducts periodic spot checks of completed jobs for thoroughness and quality
- Road tests with customers to determine vehicle issues
- Road test vehicles to quality check work performed
- Monitors shop condition, including cleanliness, safety, and the condition of shop equipment
- Reports problems to the Service Manager or Fixed Operations Manager
- Ensures proper care, storage, and inventory of special tools
- Keeps up to date on new equipment and tools available and recommends purchases
- Assists with maintaining software updates on diagnostic equipment and other special tools as necessary
- Enforces safety regulations and protocols
- Maintains a safe work environment
- Strives for harmony and teamwork within the department and with all other departments
- Maintains a professional appearance
- Other tasks as assigned

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or GED
- Journey Technician Certificate
- At least one year experience as a shop foreman (or similar role)
- Valid driver's license
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Good time management and problem-solving skills
- A willingness to work long hours and overtime if needed
- PBS an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $70,000.00-$75,000.00 per year

**Education**:

- Secondary School (required)

**Experience**:

- Shop Foreman: 1 year (preferred)
- PBS: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driver's License (required)
- Journey Technician Certificate (required)
