**Job Overview**
As a Preschool Director in the field of Early Childhood Education, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the preschool. Your main goal is to ensure that young children receive the best possible care and early childhood education. You will play a significant role in creating a warm nurturing welcoming learning environment for the children, teachers and their families.

**The duties of a Preschool Director include but are not limited to**:

- Building a relationship with each child and their family.
- Supervising and collaborating with preschool teachers and staff on a daily basis.
- Snack preparation
- Support classrooms each day and when needed
- Fill in for teachers when needed
- Ensuring compliance with licensing and safety regulations.
- Cleaning checklist update / Fridge temperature
- Ensure safety and well-being of children at all times.
- Keep children and staff files updated.
- Daily attendance and monitoring illness.
- Monthly newsletter.
- Monthly menu.
- Recording monthly fire drill.
- Health Inspector Report
- Establish QIG goals regularly with the preschool team to enhance the learning environment. Meet with our Early Childhood Development Consultant regularly.
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as: Developmental Interventionists, Speech Pathologists, and others.
- Oversee a routine based preschool program that follows the children’s interests and helps foster independence, while providing activities and experiences that are developmentally appropriate and inclusive for each child and their needs.
- Cleaning schedule.
- Parent meetings -two per year Fall/ Spring
- Staff meetings
- Inspire, Encourage and Collaborate together.
- Parent meetings whenever necessary to help best support individual needs and group needs.
- Establish good supportive communication with families
- Mentoring staff and maintaining professional development hours.
- Purchase groceries, preschool supplies and cleaning supplies
- Submit payroll hrs to CVP accountant bi-weekly
- Check with CVP treasure each month to see if all monthly fees have been received -send friendly reminders to parents if needed.

Annual General Meeting all staff attend and invite all parents - Encourage new families to join the board
- Give all cheques and cash to CVP Treasurer for him to deposit inform him when children withdrawn and when we get another child registered
- Pay Bills - by cheque - Cleaner monthly lawn care and snow removal, casual substitutes Insurance due November, Joint Stock ( December) if any one purchases something for the preschool such as preschool teacher or board member.
- Professional Develop - Share all new Professional Development opportunities to staff and encourage us to take training together
- Fill preschool spaces and give tours to all new families and their child
- Attend Monthly Board meetings and keep the board up to date
- Other duties

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $28.88-$36.28 per hour
