Structural Drafter

**Summary**

Harbourside Engineering Consultants (HEC) is seeking a Draftsperson to join our growing team in Stoney Creek, Ontario.

HEC is part of the Harbourside Group of Companies, which includes Harbourside Transportation Consultants, Harbourside Geotechnical Consultants, Harbourside Project Management, and W.S. Langley Concrete & Materials Technology Inc. Together, we form a full-service heavy civil infrastructure design firm with offices in Dartmouth, NS; Charlottetown, PE; St. John’s, NL; and Stoney Creek, ON.

**Responsibilities**
- Develop detailed engineering drawings using AutoCAD for a variety of design projects, including both new construction and rehabilitation of bridge structures, marine infrastructure, industrial facilities, offshore oil and gas platforms, buildings, retaining walls, and temporary works related to construction or demolition.
- Collaborate regularly with design engineers on assigned projects.
- Maintain organized file storage systems for engineering plans and tender documents.
- Ensure drafting standards align with company practices.
- Revise drawings based on feedback from engineers.
- Stay updated on industry drafting standards and software updates.

**Qualifications**
- Certification from a recognized educational institution in drafting, engineering technology, or a related field.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is considered asset.
- Strong attention to detail and high-quality planning skills.
- Excellent analytical and communication abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting tight deadlines.
- Understanding of technical drawings, specifications, and construction documents.

**This position is fully on-site at our Stoney Creek, ON office.**
