**Food & Beverage Manager - Four Points By Sheraton Halifax**

We are seeking an experienced and passionate **Food & Beverage Manager** to oversee all **hotel dining outlets, in room dinning and delivery**. This role will be responsible for leading the food and beverage team, optimizing guest experiences, and driving revenue while ensuring cost control and operational efficiency. Reporting to the **General Manager**, the **Food & Beverage Manager** will play a key role in ensuring high standards in service, quality, and team development.

**Key Responsibilities**
- ** Oversee and manage** daily operations of all hotel **restaurants, bars, in-room dining**.
- Develop and execute **strategic plans** to drive revenue, enhance guest experiences, and optimize costs.
- Collaborate with the **Executive Chef and culinary team** to maintain high-quality and cost-effective food offerings.
- ** Recruit, train, and lead** a high-performing food and beverage team, ensuring exceptional service standards.
- Ensure all health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including **WHMIS and food safety protocols**, are strictly followed.
- Work with **suppliers and vendors** to maintain quality, control costs, and stay on top of industry trends.
- ** Develop and maintain menus** for all outlets and banquet services, ensuring competitive pricing and profitability.
- Assist the **General Manager** in preparing the **annual budget, financial forecasts, and capital plans** for F&B operations.
- Monitor and manage inventory, labor costs, and expenses to maintain budgeted profit margins.
- Ensure compliance with **brand standards and corporate F&B contracts**, taking advantage of negotiated pricing.
- Act as **Manager on Duty** as needed, ensuring smooth hotel operations.
- Work closely with the **Sales & Events Team** to promote and execute successful banquets and catering events.
- Maintain and program **Micros POS system** for accuracy and efficiency in billing and reporting.
- Develop marketing and social media initiatives with the **Director of Sales** to maximize exposure and revenue for hotel F&B offerings.
- Build strong relationships with **local businesses, community groups, and industry partners** to enhance visibility and drive sales.
- Foster a **clean, safe, and positive work environment**, promoting employee well-being and operational excellence.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the **General Manager** or senior management.

**Qualifications & Skills**
- ** Minimum 2 years** of experience in a **Food & Beverage leadership role**, preferably in a hotel setting.
- ** Post-secondary education** in hospitality, business, or a related field (preferred).
- Strong **financial acumen**, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
- Proven ability to **lead, mentor, and develop** a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent **problem-solving, communication, and organizational** skills.
- Knowledge of **liquor laws, food safety regulations, and WHMIS compliance**.
- Proficiency in **Micros POS systems** and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to **work flexible hours**, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must have a **valid driver’s license** and be willing to travel for events or supplier meetings.

**Working Conditions & Physical Requirements**
- Standing and walking for extended periods.
- Lifting and carrying up to **50 lbs** as required.
- Fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and multiple deadlines.
- Frequent interaction with guests, employees, and external partners.
- ** Hotel operates 24/7**, requiring flexibility in scheduling based on operational needs.

**Supervisory Responsibilities**
- Directly supervises all **restaurant, bar, in-room delivery staff**.
- Oversees training, performance management, and team development.
- Works closely with the **General Manager and HR** on hiring, coaching, and disciplinary actions.
