**Job Summary**

**Duties**
- Identify and assess lending risk based on creditworthiness, property value, loan-to-value (LTV) ratio
- Conduct risk analysis to evaluate the potential risks involved in lending decisions.
- Collect and verify data from various sources to ensure accuracy in underwriting decisions.
- Work closely with loan officers, processors, appraisers, and closing agents to obtain or clarify information.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing mortgage lending.
- Prepare detailed reports outlining underwriting decisions and recommendations for loan approvals or denials.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in mortgage underwriting.

**Requirements**:

- 2-5 years of experience in mortgage underwriting, preferably in private or non-traditional lending
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Experience with analyzing borrower credit, income, and assets
- Proficient in data collection and analysis, with a keen eye for detail.
- Solid understanding of risk analysis principles as they relate to mortgage lending.
- Strong mathematical skills and knowledge of accounting principles relevant to loan processing.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Pay: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
