Position: ROOM ATTENDANT

Department: Housekeeping

Reports To: Housekeeping Manager and or Supervisor

Position Summary: Cleans guest rooms and any public areas according to the property’s standards.

Specific Duties
Must be available to work weekend

Ø Maintain immaculate presentation and grooming, wearing designated uniform and name badge at all times.

Ø Actioning of guest requests promptly and efficiently.

Ø ICARE belief

Ø Must be able to move, lift, reach, carry, push, & place objects 10lbs or more.

Ø Read notice board and daily briefing sheet and action items as directed.

Ø Clean bathtubs, showers, toilets, sinks, walls, mirrors, tiles, floor surfaces, hall carpet.

Ø Strip and make beds and change bed linens.

Ø Dust all furniture, pictures, drawers, mini bar, window ledges and shelves thoroughly.

Ø Vacuum the entire room and empty the rubbish bin.

Ø Replenish amenities, linens and supplies in guest rooms.

Ø Ensure all electronic devices and lights are functioning properly.

Ø Report any guest complaints immediately to your supervisor or manager.

Ø Maintain housekeeping trolley and equipment.

Ø Vacuuming of common areas (corridors).

Ø Maintain storeroom and chemical room and ensure these are kept neat and tidy.

Ø Clean and maintain the established quota of guest rooms, working systematically to keep the workplace and equipment neat.

Ø Ensure the security and care of guest belongings and hotel property. Report any suspicious happenings to your supervisor or manager immediately.

Ø Perform any other reasonable task or instruction as directed by management or a representative of management.

Ø Maintain clear and concise communications with all departments and management regarding any special guest requirements or requests.

Ø Assist other departments on busy days and complete any other duties as request by the department Supervisor or Manager to meet business demands.

Ø Attend and actively participates in training programs as required.

Ø Put into practice in the business all training that has been completed.

Ø Adhere to lost property procedures in your hotel and ensure you immediately notify your Manager or the Manger on Duty if any item is found.

Ø Maintain a tidy, clean and orderly appearance in all areas.

Ø Have a full understanding of emergency procedures.

Ø Ensure all Work Health and Safety procedures are adhered to within the Department.

Ø Report hazards, near misses and accidents at the workplace immediately.

Ø Ensure security procedures for stores, cash, premises, team members, equipment and chemicals is implemented and maintained in accordance with Hotel policies and procedures.

Ø Ensure guest security and privacy is maintained at all times.

Ø Report all broken items to maintenance

Ø Must be able to work weekdays, weekends & holidays

Ø All other duties assigned by management

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $17.20 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift

Work Location: In person
