Applicant must have the following:

**Duties**:

- Material pricing
- Analyze and compare bids for best value
- Update and evaluate subtrades
- Assisting in site visits and collecting necessary data for a proper estimate.

Must be able to locate and communicate with various subcontractors in order to have quotations for their scope of work for various projects. Must be able to do quantity take-offs using excel spreadsheet or similar. Must be able to summarize and finish Commercial Construction estimates for various tenders.

Must be able to work with multiple tenders and deadlines. Analyzes plans, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare bid estimates for projects, and supports the presentation of estimate proposals. Prepares conceptual estimates by interpreting historical data.

Researches and analyzes cost data for review and presentation to management Contacts trades and suppliers regarding invitations, pricing, addenda and tender/bid closings. Produces quantity take-offs for the specified disciplines while ensuring the take-off is well notated for hand-over to the project team and includes safety and security requirements required by applicable legislation.

Develops complete estimates on selected projects consisting of project site visit, quantity take-off, pricing, and presentation of the estimate for management review. Reviews discipline specific bid/tender documents and assesses potential risk.

Develops the schedule on which the estimate is based, requests input from the project team and the various trades required. Evaluates and presents or supports the presentation of estimate proposals May perform other related duties as assigned.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare accurate and timely cost estimates for construction projects
- Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine the scope of work and materials required.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes.
- Utilize construction software, excel to create detailed cost breakdowns.
- Conduct site visits and assessments to gather information for estimating purposes
- Analyze and evaluate subcontractor bids and proposals
- Negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive bids
- Prepare and present cost estimates to clients and stakeholders
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction process and make adjustments as necessary

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating principles, practices, and techniques
- Proficiency in project management software such as Micro soft project
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to accurately interpret project plans and specifications
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

**Salary**: $62,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
