- **Estimating and Bid Preparation**:

- Analyze project drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate plumbing estimates.
- Develop detailed cost breakdowns, including labor, materials, and equipment, for commercial, light industrial, and multi-residential projects.
- Prepare and submit competitive bids within deadlines.
- **Project Evaluation and Collaboration**:

- Collaborate with clients, architects, general contractors, and other stakeholders to clarify project scope and requirements.
- Evaluate risks, constraints, and opportunities to optimize project outcomes.
- Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
- **Compliance and Standards**:

- Ensure all estimates comply with Alberta building codes and industry standards.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in plumbing technology, materials, and practices.
- **Cost Tracking and Reporting**:

- Maintain detailed records of estimates, revisions, and project costs for future reference and analysis.
- Provide cost analysis to assist with project budgeting and financial planning.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- **Experience**:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in plumbing estimating within the Alberta construction industry.
- Proven track record in estimating for commercial, light industrial, and residential (4-storey walk-up or similar) projects.
- **Technical Knowledge**:

- Strong understanding of plumbing systems, materials, and installation methods.
- Familiarity with Alberta Building Code and other relevant standards.
- **Skills and Competencies**:

- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Expertise in using estimating software and tools.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and time-management skills.
- **Education and Certifications**:

- Diploma or degree in construction management, plumbing technology, or a related field (an asset).
