**Responsibilities**:

- Process Canadian and US payroll for various locations with the payroll system (Ceridian Dayforce).
- Ensure compliance with federal, State, and local payroll laws and regulations.
- Respond promptly to employee and management payroll inquiries.
- Collaborate with Human Resources and Finance departments to resolve payroll issues and discrepancies.
- Updating employee files: rates, terminations, ROE, etc.
- Producing monthly reports for the accounting department (payroll journals, allocation report, vacation accrual report, etc).
- Work with the Accounting Department to reconcile payroll related general ledger accounts.
- Oversee payroll documentation and reporting, including maintaining files and records, generating reports, assisting with year-end documents, preparing journal entries, participating in audits, and supporting special projects as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and legislative requirements, while keeping up to date with current payroll-related legislation.
- Process yearend for Canada and the United States as well.
- Experience with the implementation of the new payrolls, an asset.

**Qualifications**:

- Bilingual (spoken and written) in both English and French.
- Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Experience using Ceridian Dayforce.
- Strong analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills.

QUALIFICATIONS
- College Diploma in Administration, Business, or any related diploma.
- Minimum of five years’ experience with the Canadian and US payroll.
- Certified Payroll Professional designation.
- Highly organized, detail oriented, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills.
- Experience processing payroll for employees in a non-unionized environment; both salaried and hourly for Canada & US.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Proficient at working in a digital and paper-free environment.
