**KEY DUTIES**
- Organize the shipping of goods, including packing and crating, selecting mode of transport, and best route. Domestic and international International shipping is required
- Negotiate carriage terms with carriers, book cargo space, and liaise with project managers.
- Managing customers’ clearance procedures, transport documents, and insurance paperwork so that no complications arise during the cargo-sending process

- Make sure carriers deliver shipments as planned and resolve issues when they don’t
- Receive shipments, unload items, check goods for damage, identify mistakes, return unsatisfactory items, and maintain shipment records
- Verify physical inventory, count material and equipment in stock
- Kit parts for factory assembly and customer orders.

Normal working hours are Monday through Friday 07:00 to 15:30 or 07:30 to 16:00.

**SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION**
- 5 years of shipping and receiving experience
- experience with preparing international shipments, including customs documents.
- Extensive knowledge of major couriers - FedEx, Purolator, DHL, UPS, etc. including how to operate their respective software packages
- Working knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.) Physically capable of performing the essential duties of the job; including lifting up to 50lb
- Valid forklift license preferred

**WORK ENVIRONMENT**
- Fast paced environment with priorities that often change to meet current priorities
- Casual warehouse environment - safety footwear must be worn.
