**Duties**:

- Complete psychoeducational and cognitive assessment.
- Examine and assess behavior to diagnose behavioral, emotional and cognitive disorders
- Assesses client's needs, abilities and behavior using a variety of methods including interviews and direct observation of behavior
- Counsels individuals and/or groups to achieve more effective personal, social and vocational development and adjustment
- Establishes short term and long term treatment objectives
- Applies psychological theory and principles regarding behaviour and mental processes
- Maintains complete, accurate, and current records of all clinical services rendered, including initial evaluations, progress notes, summary notes, and all other necessary documentation
- Consults with other clinicians to identify potential psychosocial problems, or to simply gain a deeper understanding of any given case presented
- Upholds company vision and values
- Performs other duties consistent with the above responsibilities
- Active registration and in good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists
- Complete background check (i.e., criminal record, vulnerable sector)
- Considerable knowledge of abnormal and clinical psychology
- Possess knowledge and skills in multiple modalities of therapy and psychological testing
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Time management skills: establishing priorities and accomplishing tasks in a timely manner
- Ability to use computer technology including MS Office Programs (e.g. Word, Excel, Publisher, Visio), Internet and E-mail
- Proficiency in Wolf-EMR is considered a valuable asset **Knowledge of local community resources**:

- Flexibility in hours — able to work days and evenings, as needed (weekends not required)
- Availability to work extended hours, as needed
- Experience:

- **5 years (or equivalent) full-time experience providing therapeutic intervention to clients**
