Raptor is recruiting a person for our QC department who demonstrate a commitment to exceptional Health & Safety, Quality and Customer Service results. The primary role of a Quality Control Inspector is to perform visual and mag particle inspections in a manufacturing, heavy construction, and mining repair environment.

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Report to work on time daily with a positive attitude and optimistic outlook.
- Comply with all company rules and regulations as outlined in the employee handbook.
- Wear and respect the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and company issued uniforms at all times when on company grounds (yard and shop).
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Read and interpret blueprints.
- Complete and maintain all necessary paperwork and computer work related to Quality Control (floor and office)
- Follow inspection procedures and client specifications.
- Visual inspections of materials and welds
- Dimensional checks before, during and after fabrication.
- Mag particle inspections on new product and heavy equipment repair.
- Weld mapping and creating NDT reports for shop and customers.
- Maintain ongoing inspections as requested
- Final reporting of repairs for shop and customers.
- Report to QC supervision / management
- Any other tasks assigned by the Raptor management team.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a welding related environment.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in visual inspections of materials and weld defects.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Mag particle inspections of cast steel material and other types of ferrous material.
- Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Experience working in a heavy construction and mining repair environment.
- Experience with Microsoft, excel, word and power point.
- Journeyman / Journeywoman welding certification is preferred but not required.
- CWB level 1 inspector certification is preferred but not required.
- CGSB level 2 Mag particle technician is preferred but not required.
