Fredericton, Canada Harmony Home Support and Family Services Full time

Harmony Home Support and Family Services is looking for responsible, personable mentors to work with special needs adults in their homes and in the community. This position is perfect for students enrolled in post secondary education who would like to work with a client a few hours a week to gain valuable rewarding experience in the field.

**Requirements**:

- Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check
- Completed or Scheduled to take First Aid & CPR course
- High School Diploma
- License and reliable vehicle

**Responsibilities**:

- Effectively communicate with clients, caregivers and management.
- Document shift details and complete incident reports when applicable.
- Plan and implement engaging activities to promote positive behaviour and develop life skills.
- Maintain professional boundaries in casual work environments.
- Transport clients
- Be a supportive, patient, caring, positive influence in the lives of our clients.

ID#L-13: Hiring a female mentor for a 13 year old girl, who enjoys art, the beach and music. The mentor's role will be to take her out to do fun activities in the community. Four hours every two weeks. 1pm-5pm every other Saturday.

ID#D-12: Hiring a mentor for a 12 year old boy with autism spectrum disorder. He looks forward to his outings with mentors and loves to swim. Fifteen hours a week afterschool hours Monday - Friday. Specific time flexible to your availability.

ID#H-7: Hiring a day-care aid beginning in September for a 6 year old boy with Autism Spectrum Disorder. 18 hours weekly. 1:45pm
- 5pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, 11:45-5pm Wednesdays, 8am-5pm on PD and snow days.

ID#R-9: Hiring a mentor to provide in-home respite for a 9 year old boy. Ten hours a week Days and times flexible to your availability.

ID#A-12: Hiring a mentor to provide 15 hours of in-home respite care and 3 hours of mentoring in the community to a 12 year old boy each week. Eighteen hours total. Days and times flexible to your availability.

ID# E-17: Hiring a female mentor for a 17 year old girl. The mentor's role would be to help work on social skills and become more active in the community. Four hours a week. Days and times flexible to your availability.

ID#B-10: Hiring a full time mentor for a 10 year old boy with ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder to provide evening in home respite whilst mom is at work. Has some kicking, screaming, throwing behaviors and needs help in the bathroom. 40 hours a week.

ID#JN-127: Hiring two female mentors to provide in-home respite for siblings ages 12 and 7 with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Three and a half hours weekly. Days and times flexible to your availability. Please send any times you would be available, not just preferred times as we will need to arrange two staff with corresponding availability.

ID#A-15: Hiring a female mentor for a 15 year old female with the goal of developing life skills like cooking and cleaning her room and getting out into the community. Four hours a week outside of school hours. Days and times flexible to your availability.
