**Job Title: Finance Manager**

**Role Overview**

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented **Finance Manager** to lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and day-to-day financial oversight across Pillexa and its portfolio of powered brands. This role is ideal for someone with an accounting or controller background, who thrives in a fast-paced, startup environment, and is comfortable working across multiple entities and reporting structures.

**This role reports directly to the CEO.**

**Key Responsibilities**

**Strategic Finance & Forecasting**
- Build and maintain rolling financial models across business units and product lines
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analysis and scenario planning
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to leadership through dashboards and reporting

**Accounting Oversight & Operations**
- Manage the month-end close process in coordination with our outsourced accounting team
- Review journal entries, reconciliations, and ensure accuracy of financial statements
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and Canadian/US tax and financial reporting standards
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable, expense tracking, and vendor management
- Quarterly audit on tools and provide recommendations

**Cash Flow & Capital Planning**
- Monitor cash flow projections, working capital, and funding needs
- Assist with fundraising support, due diligence materials, and investor reporting
- Coordinate with legal, tax, and audit advisors as needed

**Process & Systems Development**
- Evaluate and implement financial systems or automation tools to improve operational efficiency
- Help standardize reporting across multiple business units
- Establish internal controls and best practices for scaling finance operations

**Qualifications**
- CPA designation or equivalent experience in accounting/controller roles strongly preferred
- 5+ years experience in finance, accounting, or FP&A, ideally in a SaaS, e-commerce, or DTC environment
- Demonstrated experience managing outsourced accounting or fractional finance teams
- Strong Excel/Google Sheets modeling skills; familiarity with QuickBooks Online
- Proactive, hands-on approach with ability to operate independently and collaboratively
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and executive leadership

**Nice-to-Have**
- Experience in multi-entity or multi-brand financial structures
- Exposure to healthcare, pharmacy, or regulated industries
- Familiarity fundraising, PE and Venture Capital markets
- Previous exposure to ecommerce

Pay: $100,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
